A Providence resident enjoys Youth Art entries.
Youth art encourages local students to create art which is judged in competition with students throughout the state. Winners are displayed at Batesville Public Library, Providence Assisted Living, and a Panola Partnership event.
The arts area will support a Mississippi author with a book signing and have her speak at a club meeting.
CONSERVATION

With the advent of Polar Express during November and December, 2015 and 2016, Main Street association focused on renovations in the downtown square area. MFWC Batesville Woman's Club assisted by monetary donations for the large Christmas tree ;located next to the park area.
GFWC partnership project is Nature Generation which instills environmental stewardship through literature, donating books to kids about the environment and sponsoring author visits in schools. Panola County Humane Society receives monetary donations and dog food from the club. Monthly reports focus on recycling, participating in the Great Backyard Bird Count, and planting bird- and butterfly-friendly areas. Club programs included an informational speaker on the local Indian Mound reclamation project and activities at Enid Lake recreation area. |

A primary focus for the education service area is support for the public library through donations for National Library Week and membership in Friends of the Library. Various literacy projects such as providing books and magazines for assisted living facilities, adult day care, and nursing homes are carried out as well as promoting individual and family reading time.
Two college scholarships are awarded each year to graduating seniors. Mississippi Schools for the Deaf and Blind receive yearly donations. Teachers of special needs children at Batesville Primary School received gift certificates to purchase needed items for their classes.
Funds are donated to send a student from North Delta High School to Hugh O'Brien Youth program each summer.

The goal of the Home Life area is to inform members of issues that affect the well-being of individuals, families, and communities including projects that promote a healthy lifestyle and financial health.
Partnerships have been forged with Canine Companions for Independence, Easter Seals, National Osteoporosis Foundation, and Inside Knowledge (awareness of gynecological cancer.
Providing monthly support for Panola Food Pantry and sharing hats for cancer patients are some other projects.
